Terms and Conditions
Bookings
No booking is confirmed until Barmerose Pet Services have met with the client and their pet(s) and have completed the required paperwork.
Emergencies
The client must provide Barmerose Pet Services with the name and contact details of an individual capable of making decisions relating to the pet(s) in an emergency situation. If this person cannot be reached, Barmerose Pet Services reserves the right to consult with the veterinary surgeon and make a decision based on his/her advice and in the best interests of the animal.
Insurance
Barmerose Pet Services is insured against Public Liability, wherever possible pets should be insured by the client. Barmerose Pet Services reserves the right to refuse new clients if their pet is not adequately insured.
Barmerose Pet Services will care for your pet as you would, including administering vet-prescribed medicines and whilst we make every effort to ensure your pet is well looked after in your absence, Barmerose Pet services cannot be held liable for any loss, injury or death to a pet either inside or outside the home whilst in our care.
Dog Identification Tags/Disc
It is a requirement by law that all dogs wear an identification tag/disc whilst in a public area. Clients are required to ensure their dog(s) have an appropriate tag/disc, containing owner name & contact details, we would suggest that you DO NOT use the dogs name or full home address.
Dog Walking
The walker will apply personal judgement and cut short a walk if necessary because of extreme weather conditions (i.e. heat, thunder storms, snow), threatening behaviour from another dog or person, or injury to the walker or a dog in our care. This is for the safety of both the dogs and the walker.
Barmerose Pet Services will only let dog(s) off the lead with signed permission from owner and only after the dog(s) have bonded with the carer and return instantly to recall. Until which time dog(s) will be exercised on extended leads.
Payments -Dog Walking
Payment is required either weekly or monthly in advance. Payment can be made by cheque or cash.
Cheques should be made payable to VM Mayhew.
Pet Feeding
The client must provide all food, pet supplies (i.e. fresh cat litter, bedding etc) and the necessary cleaning supplies to enable Barmerose Pet Services to care for your pet along with clear written instructions on the feeding & care/cleaning requirements for each pet. Barmerose must be informed of any date changes to holiday’s at least 7 days before commencement of the holiday cover, to ensure that the service can be carried out efficiently.
Payments - Pet Feeding/ Pet Visits
Full payment is required prior to the commencement of the contract. Payment can be made by cheque or cash.
Cheques should be made payable to VM Mayhew.
Cancellation Fee
Any cancellation made with less than 24 hours notice will be subject to a charge of £10.00 irrespective of the service required.
